CHRISTIAN WATER BAPTISM

Christian baptism in water is an outward seal, an outward act of obedience, by which such a believer fulfill or complete the inward righteousness, which he already enjoys in his heart through faith in Christ. It is an outward symbol of an inward reality. It is different from the baptism of John. It is much greater and fuller spiritual experience.
Water baptism is an ordinance taught by the Bible and so in the full obedience to Christ's command we must go through it. The believer who undergoes water baptism must walk in newness of life. This he does by the Spirit of holiness, the same power that raised Jesus Himself from the grace (Rom. 1:4). He must commit himself to a new life unto God and unto righteousness (Rom. 8:10).
